Job Description
The lodge is on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. This role will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and water systems across lodge infrastructure, guest accommodation, staff facilities, and operational areas.
While the primary focus of the role is plumbing and water infrastructure, the successful candidate will also assist with general maintenance tasks across the property under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisors.

Candidate Responsibilities:
β€’ Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems across lodge buildings and infrastructure
β€’ Diagnose and repair water leaks, pipe failures, and plumbing faults
β€’ Install and maintain water reticulation systems, valves, and pipe networks
β€’ Maintain water pumps and water pressure systems
β€’ Assist with maintenance of water filtration and purification systems
β€’ Maintain geyser installations, hot water systems, and associated plumbing components
β€’ Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify maintenance requirements
β€’ Support preventative maintenance programs for water infrastructure
β€’ Assist the maintenance team with general maintenance tasks across the lodge when required
β€’ Carry out general handyman duties including minor building repairs and installations
β€’ Ensure plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently to support lodge operations
β€’ Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance materials in good working condition
Core Criteria:
β€’ Plumbing qualification or formal training (Trade Certificate, N2/N3, or equivalent)
β€’ Proven practical experience in plumbing installations and maintenance
β€’ Experience working with water pumps, valves, and water distribution systems
β€’ Experience installing and maintaining geyser systems and hot water supply
β€’ Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing faults
β€’ Basic knowledge of water system maintenance and safety procedures
β€’ Valid driver’s license
β€’ Ability to work effectively in a remote lodge environment
