Job Description
Introduction

Bantubani has an exciting opportunity for a Security Operations Manager. The incumbent will be responsible to overseeing all security operational functions across multiple sites, ensuring 24/7 protection for Bantubani Group.

Duties & Responsibilities
β€’ Leading and managing day-to-day security operations, including shift change attendance, site postings, and control room oversight.
β€’ Conducting routine and ad hoc site visits, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
β€’ Ensuring that reports, disciplinary procedures, and operational documentation are accurately completed and compliant.
β€’ Coordinating stand-by duties and after-hours support across local and outlying sites.
β€’ Managing staff performance, including recruitment, rostering, leave planning, training, and discipline.
β€’ Overseeing and optimizing control room functions, site, emergency responses, vehicle maintenance, and equipment procurement.
β€’ Developing and enforcing security protocols, SOPs, and client-specific instructions.
β€’ Ensuring compliance with all the legislative requirements but not limited to the Labour Relations Act, Health & Safety standards, and PSIRA requirements.
β€’ Supporting financial discipline by tracking budgets, expenses, and monthly operational submissions.
β€’ Preparing high-quality operational and incident reports for senior management and clients.
β€’ Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
β€’ Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
β€’ Review reports on incidents and breaches
β€’ Investigate and resolve issues
β€’ Create reports for management on security status
β€’ Analyse data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)
β€’ Ensure that company pistols are licenced and adhere to relevant statutory bodies
β€’ Perform any other duties as and when required by management.

Desired Experience & Qualification
β€’ Matric or equivalent certificate
β€’ Certificate or Diploma in Security Administration similar field
β€’ A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly to various sites.
β€’ Must be PSIRA registered (minimum Grade B).
β€’ Must have Business Purpose Firearm Competency.
β€’ Must have worked with SAPS
β€’ Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in security management
β€’ Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
β€’ Working knowledge of MS Office
β€’ Proven experience in a managerial security role, preferably in a multi-site guarding environment.
β€’ Strong knowledge of PSIRA regulations, the Labour Relations Act, and security industry standards.
β€’ Excellent people management, training, and leadership skills.
β€’ Strong administrative and reporting capabilities, including proficiency in using digital reporting tools.
β€’ Ability to remain calm under pressure, make informed decisions, and manage incidents effectively.
