Key Responsibilities
• Welding Operations: Perform CO2 welding on various metal components in multiple positions, including flat, vertical, and overhead.
• Equipment Setup: Set up and calibrate welding machines, including selecting the correct gas mixture, wire feed speed, and voltage.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to plan layouts and procedures.
• Material Preparation: Cut, grind, and clean metal surfaces using tools like angle grinders and saws before welding.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished welds for defects such as cracks or porosity using precision measuring instruments like calipers and weld gauges.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure safety and functionality.

Core Requirements
• Experience: Require 3–5 years of practical experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Certification: A Trade Test certification (e.g., Red Seal) or being a "Double Coded" welder (competent in both CO2 and TIG).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG/MAG techniques, knowledge of metal properties (steel, aluminum, stainless steel), and basic mathematical ability for measurements.
• Physical Stamina: The role requires the ability to work in confined spaces, stand for long shifts, and handle heavy equipment weighing up to 25kg.
