Job Description
To report any vehicle defects and complete all delivery documentation accurately, a distribution operation in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a Code 14 Driver.

Responsibilities
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic fines, or near-miss incidents to the transport manager immediately and complete incident reports.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking tyres, lights, brakes, fluid levels, and safety equipment before every journey.
• Adhere strictly to company policies regarding mobile phone use while driving and comply with regulations governing driver working hours and rest periods.
• Complete all delivery documentation accurately including waybills, delivery notes, and proof of delivery receipts for office processing.
• Provide polite and professional service to customers at delivery and collection points, representing the company positively in all interactions.
• Operate assigned vehicles safely and responsibly in compliance with all road traffic laws, company policies, and client delivery instructions.

Requirements
• Good knowledge of road networks and geography within the {province} region, with ability to navigate efficiently.
• A valid Professional Driving Permit for roles involving passenger transport or dangerous goods as required by legislation.
• A clear criminal record as background checks are conducted for positions involving valuable goods or passenger transport.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and describe vehicle faults accurately when reporting issues to maintenance.
