Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
• Provide electrical maintenance and operational support to the packaging plant and Silo operations
• Fault-finding of all electrical equipment.
• Work order management and Root cause analysis
• Learn and comply to plant safety standards and housekeeping
• Sharing information and learning from team members
• Record keeping, updating and creating of electrical drawings
• Recommend improvements to prevent breakdowns

Qualifications, Experience And Personal Qualities
• Matriculated/ N3 (Electrical) qualification; qualified electrical artisan (with Trade Test).
• Registered/able to register as installation electrician with the department of labour with a valid Wireman’s license within 6 months of appointment.
• 3 years’ experience within a sugar refining environment would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the OHS Act (Occupational Health and Safety act).
• Knowledge of SABS on electrical equipment maintenance, testing, inspection
• Knowledge of SABS standards pertaining to electrical installations in classified areas, maintenance schedules, variable speed drives and soft start devices.
• Able to work in a team displaying good communication skills and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have good problem-solving skills and have a positive attitude towards safety.
• Must be flexible in order to meet the challenges in a demanding environment.
