Job Description
· Lead, coordinate, and supervise packaging production activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.

· Allocate duties to machine operators and assistants according to the shift plan and production priorities.

· Monitor employee performance, provide guidance, and enforce discipline where required.

· Ensure production output meets daily and weekly targets while maintaining quality standards.

· Oversee gravure printing, lamination, and slitting processes to ensure adherence to specifications.

· Monitor print quality including colour accuracy, alignment, registration, and overall finish.

· Liaise with the Quality team to address defects, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.

· Minimise downtime by coordinating efficient changeovers, machine readiness, and material availability.

· Oversee operation of printing and slitting equipment to ensure safe and optimal performance.

· Ensure timely maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs of production machinery.

· Report machine breakdowns promptly and follow through to resolution.

· Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability of materials and batches.

· Track and report production output, material usage, waste, and downtime.

· Submit daily production, quality, and incident reports to the Head of Production.

· Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and company procedures.

· Enforce proper use of PPE and maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment.

· Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
