Job Description
Electrical Artisan (Maintenance – Heavy Industry / Power Plant)

An established EME based in Pretoria East (Waltloo) is seeking to appoint a skilled, reliable, and experienced Electrical Artisan to join their team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in electrical maintenance within heavy industrial environments or power plants.

Minimum Requirements
β€’ Minimum qualification: Technical subjects at NQF Level 4 (Matric / N3 / NCV Level 4)
β€’ Valid Trade Test Certificate as an Electrical Artisan (essential)
β€’ Proven experience in electrical maintenance within heavy industry or power plant environments
β€’ Valid Driver’s License (essential)
β€’ At least one contactable reference

β€’ Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
β€’ Good understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures
β€’ Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
β€’ High level of safety awareness and compliance
β€’ Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns effectively
β€’ Good communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on plant equipment
β€’ Diagnose faults and carry out corrective and preventative maintenance
β€’ Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards and regulations
β€’ Minimise downtime by responding promptly to breakdowns and emergencies
β€’ Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records
β€’ Assist with commissioning and testing of electrical systems where required
