Job Description
RPO’s client is seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join their operations team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings, while also supporting light construction and maintenance tasks. This is a permanent, full-time role ideally suited to a hands-on professional with strong problem-solving abilities and a solid grasp of construction and safety protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of drainage systems and water dispensing units
• Support general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, electrical, and plastering work
• Manage on-site stock, ensure quality control, and collaborate with contractors and construction teams
• Interpret blueprints and follow building plans for system installations
• Respond to plumbing emergencies, prepare job cost estimates, and maintain detailed records
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times

Minimum Requirements
• Relevant plumbing qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, construction processes, and related tools
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with collaboration tools
• Excellent communication skills and fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and lead on-site teams
• High attention to detail, professional demeanour, and a proactive, solution-driven approach
