Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Cleaning and Sanitation Supervisor to lead their team in maintaining immaculate facilities. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage and strategize cleaning operations and standards from your home office. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cleaning protocols, hygiene standards, and staff management within a facility management context. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive cleaning programs, ensuring optimal hygiene, safety, and presentation of all designated areas. Your role will be critical in upholding our client's commitment to a clean and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive cleaning and sanitation programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the highest levels of hygiene and cleanliness across all facilities. Manage, train, and schedule a remote team of cleaning staff, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and high performance. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to assess cleaning quality, identify areas needing improvement, and ensure compliance with established standards and health regulations. Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement. Develop and manage the cleaning department budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to cleaning operations. Implement best practices in waste management and recycling programs. Collaborate with facility management and other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and address specific needs or special requests. Investigate and resolve any cleaning-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally. Stay updated on industry trends, new cleaning technologies, and eco-friendly cleaning solutions. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, inspections, staff performance, and inventory. Foster a positive and productive work environment for the cleaning team, emphasizing safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cleaning, sanitation, or facility management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven experience in developing and implementing cleaning protocols and quality control measures. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to cleaning services. Experience with various cleaning equipment, chemicals, and techniques. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience managing remote staff. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and stakeholders. Proficiency in inventory management and budgeting. Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in cleaning and sanitation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a remote setting. Certification in facility management or cleaning science is a plus. This role is fully remote, supporting operations relevant to Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA , but requires no physical presence at any specific location.
