Are you a technically strong sales professional with experience in plumbing, construction, or building materials?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected plumbing and sanitaryware supplier, servicing a wide customer base including contractors, developers, plumbers, and the general public.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team known for product expertise, strong supplier relationships, and excellent customer service.

Role Overview

As a Plumbing Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in driving sales across both trade and retail channels, while supporting clients with technical product advice, quotations, and tender submissions.

You will work closely with contractors from planning phase through to project completion, ensuring seamless service delivery and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Management
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, developers, plumbers, and walk-in clients
• Identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts
• Provide expert product advice across plumbing materials and sanitaryware
• Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry to delivery

Quotations & Tenders
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations
• Compile and submit tenders and project-based pricing proposals
• Interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications

Administration & Systems
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel for pricing, costing, and data analysis
• Maintain accurate sales records, pricing structures, and client databases
• Track orders, deliveries, and project timelines

Operational Support
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams on stock availability
• Ensure correct product selection for projects (pipes, fittings, fixtures, etc.)
• Assist in resolving client queries and after-sales support

Minimum Requirements
• Proven experience in plumbing / building materials / construction sales
• Strong knowledge of plumbing products (pipes, fittings, sanitaryware, etc.)
• Experience working with contractors, developers, or project environments
• Solid experience in compiling tenders and large quotations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (non-negotiable)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings / BOQs
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
