Duties & Responsibilities
Protection & Safety Operations Safeguard employees, visitors, buildings, vehicles, equipment, and movable assets. Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel and visitors at the site. 2. Access Control & Visitor Management Control and monitor all access points, permitting and regulating entrance and exit Manage traffic flow by directing drivers when required. 3. Patrols & Surveillance Conduct regular site patrols of buildings, equipment, and perimeter areas. Monitor CCTV, surveillance systems, alarms, and general security infrastructure. 4. Incident Response & Reporting Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, irregularities, and security breaches. Use alarms or signaling devices to mobilize assistance when necessary. Complete detailed and accurate incident, occurrence, and observation reports. 5. Enforcement of Policies & Compliance Enforce company security procedures, rules, and policies on-site. Maintain compliance with all local, provincial, and national regulations. Support emergency procedures including fire prevention, evacuation, and accident investigation. 6. Equipment & Operational Readiness Ensure all issued security equipment is functional and maintained through preventative checks. Report any equipment defects or malfunctions immediately. 7. Customer Service & Professional Conduct Maintain a professional presence while delivering excellent customer service. Interact professionally with staff, clients, contractors, and visitors. 8. Risk Awareness & Threat Identification Identify potential security threats, suspicious behaviour, or site vulnerabilities.

• Valid PSIRA Certificate(Minimum Grade C)
• Matric
• Previous security experience
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and professionally.
• Physically fit and prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Driver’s license (advantageous depending on site requirements).
• Firearm competecy for business purposes will be advantageous
