Overview

As an SEO Manager , you will be responsible for developing and implementing local SEO strategies that drive traffic, increase rankings, and improve conversions for our clients. You’ll collaborate with content, web development, and the SEO Director to ensure best practices and cutting-edge tactics are in place. This role requires a deep understanding of technical SEO, on-page and off-page optimization, local SEO, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage, train, and mentor a small team of SEO and copywriting professionals.
• Conduct comprehensive audits of existing clients’ website/SEO performance, and execute on those findings.
• Optimize website structure, metadata, and content to enhance search engine rankings for existing clients.
• Implement and refine local SEO strategies for clients.
• Determine site structure and ideal service pages for new clients based on audits of their existing website structure and performance.
• Optimize content written by our copywriters while maintaining consistency in content structure and formatting to enhance user experience and search engine rankings.
• Manage and inform on link-building strategies and outreach initiatives.
• Stay updated on algorithm changes and industry trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications And Skills
• In-depth knowledge of local SEO best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of on-page SEO best practices, including keyword placement, content formatting, and internal linking.
• Strong skills in content writing/editing, with the ability to make minor to medium changes in content, both for search engines and the reader.
• Experience running comprehensive audits, including technical, content performance, site structure, etc.
• Experience managing and optimizing Google Business profiles (preferred).
• Experience using Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and similar tools to gather data to inform SEO strategies.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured guidelines and implement strategic plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an SEO specialist, manager, or similar role.
• Strong experience in local SEO required.
• Experience managing a small team.
• Experience working for a marketing agency preferred.
Working Hours

8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Standard Time
Work Setup
