Journeyman Electrician – Relocation to Bermuda

Job summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established electrical contractor in Bermuda, who is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can take ownership of projects, deliver high-quality work, and is open to relocating for a long-term role in a stable and professional environment.

Main responsibilities
• Lead and deliver electrical installations from start to completion, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications; produce as-built drawings where required
• Install, test, and commission electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and control systems
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and perform routine maintenance across a range of installations
• Install and route conduit systems (PVC, EMT, rigid) and complete wiring to a high standard
• Calculate loads and support design-build work, ensuring systems are efficient and compliant
• Supervise and support junior electricians/apprentices while coordinating effectively with other trades on site

Minimum skills and experience
• Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or international equivalent) or a valid Journeyman Electrician licence
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Journeyman in the Electrical Trade
• Confident working independently and managing jobs on site
• High attention to detail with a pride in workmanship
• Strong communication and teamwork skills (subject to English language proficiency test on work-permit application)

Relocation & Requirements
This position is based in Bermuda and requires relocation; relocation costs will be covered by the client. Due to work permit regulations, successful applicants will be required to complete an English language proficiency test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R461,00 - R495,00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.50 per week
