Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Cleaning and Hygiene Manager to oversee cleaning operations and ensure the highest standards of sanitation and hygiene across their facilities in George, Western Cape, ZA . This role is hands-on and requires a strong leader who can manage a team of cleaning staff, develop and implement cleaning schedules, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections, and implementing best practices in cleaning protocols. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in facilities management or a similar role, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive cleaning and hygiene programs. Supervise and train cleaning staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to standards. Create and manage cleaning schedules for all areas of the facilities. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and safety standards are met. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and disposables, and ensure timely procurement. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Investigate and address any cleaning-related issues or complaints promptly. Develop and deliver training on cleaning procedures, chemical safety, and hygiene best practices. Monitor and report on cleaning performance metrics. Maintain positive relationships with staff and external contractors. Qualifications: Proven experience in a cleaning management, facilities management, or supervisory role. Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices. Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to train and motivate a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience with budgeting and inventory management is a plus.
