Duties & Responsibilities
1) Command, Control & Supervision Lead and coordinate security officers across shifts; post officers, conduct briefings/debriefings, and enforce discipline and dress/behaviour standards. Maintain site files, security registers, notice boards and training files; ensure all registers are present, neat, and updated. Conduct weekly site and client visits, mobile patrol inspections, on-the-job training, and sign OB/pocket books to confirm control measures. 2) Risk, Compliance & Safety Develop/implement security procedures to support the site security strategy; drive a culture of compliance to company rules and industry regulations. Perform risk assessments, ensure proportionate controls for people, assets, buildings, and reputation; enforce OHS requirements and appoint safety reps/first aiders/fire-fighters as required. Ensure all equipment and vehicles comply with safety standards; perform and file daily inspections. 3) Operations, Patrols & Access Control Oversee access control (people/vehicles), posting at gates, and regular patrols of high-priority areas and perimeter. Monitor and ensure proper use/uptime of CCTV, alarms, visitor management and patrol systems; escalate faults immediately. 4) Incident Command, Investigations & Reporting Respond to alarms and incidents; coordinate with SAPS/emergency services, manage evacuations/PA communications where applicable, and lead on-scene actions. Conduct preliminary investigations, CCTV reviews, and compile accurate, timeous incident/occurrence/daily reports and logs. 5) Client Service & Stakeholder Liaison Act as frontline supervisor; engage professionally with clients, provide updates, close out concerns, and uphold Tsebo/Thorburn service standards.

Skills and Competencies
Proven supervisory/shift-lead capability with excellent communication (verbal/written) and stakeholder management.
Strong observation, analytical and problem-solving skills; calm under pressure; high integrity and professionalism.
Solid knowledge of CCTV, alarms, access control, visitor and patrol systems; control-room coordination advantage.
Computer literacy (MS Office/reporting platforms) and meticulous recordkeeping.

Qualifications
Valid PSIRA Grade A
Matric (Grade 12).
3 years’ supervisory experience in Security/Protection environment (shift/site command).
Driver’s Licence (Code 8/EB); willingness to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Clear criminal record and strong compliance/ethics orientation.
Advantageous: demonstrable control-room leadership and digital CCTV/alarm proficiency; experience coordinating emergency response with SAPS and other services
