Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager or other appointed manager as necessary, the Electrician is a hands-on supervisor of and technical advisor to, Photovoltaic (PV) System Electrical Balance of Plant scope installation teams.

The Site

Electrician is often client facing, ensuring successful coordination of electrical installation works with and utmost satisfaction of, the customer.

Electrician ensures adherence to all technical installation documentation including installation drawings and test plans, and procedures and communicates the status of the commissioned installation quality and compliance to the operations management team to assure safe and reliable operation of installed systems. Although safety is everyone’s responsibility, the position also leads efforts towards the establishment safe working practice by the installation team.

Qualifications & Requirements National Diploma as a Trade Tested Electrical Technician/Journeyman with valid Electricians’ License.

Minimum five (05) years of experience as a licensed electrician, previous experience installing photovoltaic or similar complexity MV/LV systems, will be preferred.

Understand related building, structural, and electrical codes/regulations that relate to PV installations.

Able to read, follow and/or explain architectural, structural, and electrical installation drawings and other technical documentation.

Able to clearly report work status and or issues for technical escalation and resolution.

Must be very organized with an eye for detail, driven and always able to make a plan to meet aggressive timelines without compromise to quality or safety.

Competent technical leader with strong sense of team, able to work with varied personalities, track record of leading an installation crew of approximately five (05) workers is preferred.

Physically fit and stable able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs and work at heights often carrying tools safely on tool belts.

Prepared to work in outdoor environments throughout the year.

Friendly and positive demeanor, and able to communicate with customers in a respectful professional ambassadorial manner – excellent customer service skills.

Good written and spoken English skills.

Good computer skills and confident use of productivity and communication applications.

Valid driver’s license with clean record (- no endorsements).
