Galencia is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and well-organised

Cleaner / Kitchen Assistant to join our Head Office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic office environment while also assisting our chef with basic food preparation and kitchen duties.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning Duties
• Clean offices, boardrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and communal areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitise all workspaces.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Replenish kitchen and bathroom supplies.
• Wash windows, appliances, and office equipment as required.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.

Kitchen Assistant Duties
• Assist the chef with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitised at all times.
• Assist with serving meals and refreshments for meetings and company events.
• Receive and unpack kitchen deliveries.
• Monitor kitchen stock and report shortages to the chef.

Minimum Requirements
• Minimum Grade 10 (Matric advantageous).
• At least

2 years' experience in office cleaning, hospitality, catering, or as a kitchen assistant.
• Experience assisting with food preparation will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of hygiene, food safety, and cleaning standards.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
