About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Building Cleaning Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal . This vital role involves managing a team of cleaning staff, ensuring all commercial spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of cleaning best practices, and a commitment to client satisfaction. You will be responsible for scheduling, training, quality control, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across multiple properties. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring efficient workflow and task completion. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and common areas to assess cleanliness levels and identify areas requiring attention. Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and assign tasks to team members based on property needs and staff availability. Train new cleaning staff on company policies, procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols. Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring adequate stock and proper maintenance. Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Requirements Proven experience in commercial cleaning, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Ability to conduct physical inspections and perform cleaning tasks when necessary. Understanding of health and safety regulations in a commercial setting. Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage. Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
