A specialist in the Shipmanagement and Offshore Projects sector, are working with GRS to recruit an Assistant Electrician for their Limassol offices. The successful candidate be a recent graduate of Electrical Engineering or a candidate with up to 1 year of experience. • Ensure a safe work environment for everyone by maintaining safe working practices according to company and legislative requirements.
• Competently operate various equipment and small hand tools to maintain and repair equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment.
• Maintain and modify systems to ensure they are safe, reliable, and efficient.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete maintenance forms and service records.
• Troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure operating sites are kept clean and tidy.
• Continually upgrade technical knowledge and stays current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical disciplines.
• Ensure equipment is used per training, company policies and procedures, and the law and use, where applicable, any safety equipment or PPE provided.
• May be required to work in inclement and extreme weather conditions.
• Monitor areas of responsibility and communicate any potential issues.
• Any other reasonable duties as defined by the role and management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• 0 - 1 year’s minimum experience in a similar role.
• Valid driving license.
• A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Excellent physical condition.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Flexible in work times. May be required to work outside of normal office hours and travel overseas as operational requirements demand.
• Proficient in English & Greek.
• Clean Criminal Record.
• Working Hours are Monday – Friday - 08.00 to 17.00 hours with 1hr for lunch and Saturday from 08.00 – 13.00hrs with no lunch.
