Security Control Room Manager – POS26238

Location: Houghton

Salary: R45 000.00 pm

We are seeking a highly disciplined and tech-savvy Security Control Room Manager to lead our Command Centre operations. You will be responsible for the seamless integration of personnel and technology, ensuring that our surveillance, alarm response, and emergency protocols are executed with precision.

The successful candidate will be a "process-driven" leader who thrives in high-pressure environments and possesses the technical acumen to manage complex security systems.

Requirements
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a high-volume Control Room, with at least 3 years in a Managerial or Supervisory capacity.
• PSIRA Grade A Registration (Essential).
• Specialized certification in CCTV Surveillance and Control Room Management.
• Proficiency in VMS platforms (e.g., Milestone, HikCentral, or Gallagher) and advanced MS Office skills.
• Exceptional situational awareness and "eagle-eye" attention to detail.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching and performance management.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive during crisis situations.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transport. Must be willing to work flexible hours/on-call when required.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the 24/7 operations of the Control Room, ensuring all shifts are manned by trained, alert, and professional operators.
• Maintain and optimize CCTV networks, Grade A alarm monitoring software, and integrated access control systems.
• Lead the response during critical incidents, coordinating between field units, clients, and emergency services.
• Conduct regular audits of footage and incident logs to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage relationships with technical contractors to ensure zero downtime of security infrastructure.
• Compile comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly situational reports for senior management.
