Job Description

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable individual to take ownership of deliveries, offloading, and site logistics, as well as assisting with stores and stock. This role is ideal for someone comfortable being on the road, working with equipment, and ensuring materials get where they need to be, safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

As our Storeman / Driver / Forklift Operator, your focus will be on:

Deliveries & Transport
• Handling daily deliveries between the factory, the warehouse, and the sites
• Ensuring all items are delivered accurately, on time, and in good condition
• Maintaining delivery schedules and clear communication with sites

Offloading & Site Coordination
• Managing safe and efficient offloading at site
• Assessing site conditions ahead of deliveries to plan offloading requirements
• Coordinating forklift use, labour, and any special access needs

Logistics Planning
• Planning delivery routes and schedules for efficiency
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure materials are ready and prioritised correctly

Equipment & Vehicle Responsibility
• Operating a forklift for loading and offloading
• Conducting regular vehicle and equipment checks along with the Procurement Administrator, if required.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are handled and returned correctly

Warehouse Support
• Assisting with dispatching and receiving stock
• Keeping the warehouse organised and supporting general operations
• Handling damaged returns back to the factory

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License (minimum 3 years’ experience)
• Valid Forklift License (minimum 3 years’ experience)
• Computer literate
• Own reliable vehicle

Advantageous:
• SAP experience
