Our client, a reputable logistics company operating across South Africa, is seeking experienced and reliable Long-Haul Truck Drivers to join their dedicated fleet. Based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal , this role involves transporting goods over extended distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery to various destinations. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Code 14 driver's license with an excellent driving record and a professional driving permit (PDP). You will be responsible for pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition. This includes checking tires, brakes, lights, and other critical components. You will meticulously plan routes, considering factors such as traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules. Adherence to all traffic laws and company regulations is paramount. Drivers will be responsible for securing loads properly and ensuring they remain secure throughout the journey. Accurate record-keeping of delivery logs, fuel consumption, and any incidents is required. This position demands significant time away from home, so flexibility and a strong sense of responsibility are crucial.
