Job Description
1. Position Background

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join our maintenance and facilities team. The ideal candidate must hold a valid trade test certificate issued by the Department of Employment and Labour, Department of Education, or an equivalent accredited institution. A minimum of 3 years’ hands-on plumbing experience is required. This role is suited to a reliable and skilled tradesperson who can deliver high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

2. Key Responsibilities
• Install, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems
• Diagnose plumbing issues and perform effective fault-finding and repairs
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Install pipes, fixtures, geysers, pumps, and related plumbing systems
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building regulations, and company procedures
• Respond to emergency plumbing issues promptly and efficiently
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
• Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Liaise with supervisors and other technical staff on project requirements

3. Qualifications & Experience
• Matric (Grade 12) – advantageous
• Valid Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing issued by Department of Employment and Labour or Department of Education or Any equivalent accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven plumbing experience
• Experience in commercial, industrial or automotive facility maintenance (advantageous)
