Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Professional Driver to join their logistics team in Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA . This role involves the safe and timely transportation of goods to various destinations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and company policies. The ideal candidate possesses a valid professional driver's permit, an excellent driving record, and a strong commitment to customer service and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for the daily operation of a commercial vehicle, including pre-trip inspections, route planning, and secure delivery of cargo.

Responsibilities: Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods between locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in safe operating condition. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies. Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service. Load and unload goods securely, ensuring proper handling and placement. Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation. Provide excellent customer service to clients at delivery points. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management. Assist with warehouse duties as required, such as sorting and organizing stock. Ensure the cleanliness and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle. Communicate effectively with dispatch and relevant personnel regarding delivery status and any issues encountered. Represent the company professionally at all times. Qualifications: Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) and appropriate driver's license (e.g., Code 10/14). A clean driving record with no major endorsements or accidents. Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in a logistics or delivery role. Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
