Our client, a leading logistics and transport company, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Truck Driver with a specialization in logistics coordination. This is a pivotal role based in **Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA**, where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes, while also contributing to optimizing our logistical operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of South African road networks, traffic regulations, and best practices in freight handling.

Responsibilities: Safely operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers for long-haul and local deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance. Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, considering time constraints, fuel consumption, and traffic conditions. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and damage prevention. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details as per company policy and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status. Assist in identifying opportunities to improve route planning, fuel efficiency, and overall logistics processes. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times. Perform basic maintenance and report any vehicle issues promptly. Represent the company professionally to clients and the public. Qualifications: Valid Code 14 driver's license with a PDP (Professional Driving Permit). Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a heavy-duty truck driver. Proven experience in logistics or fleet management is highly advantageous. Excellent knowledge of South African road networks and geographical areas.
