Position Summary

To properly package customer’s orders in a timely manner, ensuring all guidelines are followed, support work of the managers and assist when schedule and workload permits. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Functions

• Process orders according to the customer packaging guidelines
• Review orders and print labels using a PC loaded with Bartender software
• Verify labels for accuracy before applying to boxes or cables
• Review each part number drawing for accuracy and report discrepancy to your manager
• Choose proper instruction manual and any overpack accessory items for the part
• Check parts for possible defects (cracked glass, wrong connectors, cracked housing)
• Maintain and follow all guidelines set by the customer in preparing the orders either by work instructions or by supervisor
• Report if any instruction manual images are worn and needs replacement
• Pull supplies from the packing stockroom as needed
• Assist manager with special assignments as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Performs other duties as required and assigned; duties and activities may change over time

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The position may require the use of standard PPE such as safety glasses and ear plugs. The employee is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

Required Qualifications and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous production / assembly / packing experience

Computer skills including Microsoft basics (Outlook, Word, Excel), and ERP user experience

Must be able to routinely lift 25 pounds

Must be able to work in fast-paced environments

Occasional overtime to meet business needs

Must be conversant in English for safe and effective performance of the job

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
