Position Opening

Pfaudler - Rochester, NY

Layout Fitter-Welded

Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques, including FCAW, GTAW open root and GMAW, all to ASME code standards.

Additional skills that may be required include: X-ray repair. Automatic SAW and machine GMAW. C/S to S/S, S/S to S/S, and inconel qualified. Make or assist in making templates and fixtures. All functions including grinding, small head layout, nozzle swage and trim as required for single operator completion of vessels.

Light grinding operations are included in all layout fitter-welder jobs.

Must possess good match, blueprint and layout skills. Ability to solve production and quality problems with little supervision.

Required Testing: Basic Math, radial and circumference, layout and welding questions. Calculator may be used. Must also pass a code weld test.
