Job Description

This role involves performing professional plumbing work on a high-rise apartment building, ensuring safe, reliable, and code-compliant installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems throughout the property.

Responsibilities
β€’ Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures in a high-rise apartment building.
β€’ Work with various piping materials, including ProPress, cast iron, and copper, to complete installations and repairs.
β€’ Read and interpret basic drawings, plans, or instructions to determine the layout and routing of plumbing systems.
β€’ Assemble, install, and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications and applicable codes.
β€’ Inspect plumbing systems and components to identify leaks, blockages, or other issues and perform necessary corrective actions.
β€’ Ensure all work meets safety standards and building regulations and is completed in a clean and orderly manner.
β€’ Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to coordinate tasks and minimize disruption to building occupants.
β€’ Use appropriate tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good working condition.
Essential Skills
β€’ Hands-on plumbing experience in residential or multi-unit buildings.
β€’ Proficiency working with ProPress piping systems.
β€’ Ability to install and work with cast iron piping.
β€’ Ability to install and work with copper piping.
β€’ Knowledge of basic plumbing principles, practices, and safety standards.
β€’ Ability to read and follow instructions, layouts, or simple plans related to plumbing installations.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pelham, NY.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
