Job Description
A leading distributor of pipeline products and services is seeking a Combo Welder to perform high-quality welds on pipeline components and assemblies. The ideal candidate is a skilled tradesperson with experience in welding techniques and equipment maintenance. Working in a hands-on environment, the successful candidate will contribute to operational efficiency by performing quality welds, following technical specifications, and ensuring safety compliance while maintaining equipment and supporting team productivity.

Location: Houston, TX 77073

Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM–6:00 PM), with Saturday shifts as needed for 6 hours

Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings.
• Set amperage, voltage, slope and pulse.
• Manually guide electrode or gun along weld line.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Examine weld.
• Make repairs.
• Position and clamp workpieces.
• Select torch, torch tip, filler and/or flux.
• Tack assemblies together.
• Chip, grind, or brush off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
• Clean or de-grease parts.
• Perform routine maintenance on all equipment used in welding.
• Move parts in and move finished products out of welding area with a crane.
• Rig and hoist valve.

• Experience with Subarc welding (SAW)
