Pipe Welder – ASME B31.1 (Medical / Research Facility)

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking Pipe Welders for a long‑term project at a medical/research facility.

1+ year project, steady hours, clean environment, and $100/day per diem!

PAY: $33.00–$38.00/hour (based upon experience)

HOURS: Expected shifts will be 8‑hour days starting at 7:00 AM

SCHEDULE: Expected work will be Monday–Friday; approximately 40+ hours/week

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: This is anticipated to be a 1+ year contract position

PER DIEM: $100/day (paid for days worked)

Pipe Welder Job Description:

The Pipe Welder will weld mechanical piping systems to ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code inside active laboratory and research facilities. Work includes welding steam, hydronic, chilled water, condensate, and other mechanical systems. Welders must follow strict facility protocols, maintain high‑precision weld quality, and work safely within sensitive, controlled environments and mechanical rooms.

Qualifications for Pipe Welder:

· OSHA 10 certification
· ASME B31.1 Qualified Pipe Welder
· Demonstrated ability to weld to B31.1 specifications
· Experience welding high‑pressure and code‑level mechanical piping
· Ability to work in controlled environments with elevated safety/security requirements
· Must be able to read and interpret drawings and weld to precise tolerances
· Must be able to pass a mandatory weld test prior to dispatch
· Must be able to safely use hand/power tools and welding PPE
· Must be able to perform job duties that require standing, crouching, twisting upper body, working in tight spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Position requires the use of PPE including: steel‑toe boots, welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing

Additional Requirements for Pipe Welder:

· Must be eligible to work in the United States
· Must have reliable transportation to the job site
· Pre‑employment drug screen and background screening
