Luxury Retail Security Officer – Tribeca Boutique

Location: New York, NY 10013 (On-Site)
Pay: $28.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a polished and professional Unarmed Security Officer to support a confidential luxury fashion boutique located in Lower Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood.

This role supports an elevated retail environment with curated clientele and a strong emphasis on professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness. Officers help maintain a secure, welcoming atmosphere while supporting store leadership and preserving a refined client experience.

The ideal candidate is confident interacting with the public, comfortable managing retail guest flow, and capable of maintaining a calm, professional presence in a high-visibility luxury retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a professional and visible presence within the boutique
• Monitor store activity and guest movement with strong situational awareness
• Assist with guest flow during busy retail periods, weekends, and retail activations
• Identify and respond to suspicious or disruptive behavior in a calm, professional manner
• De-escalate situations using respectful communication and sound judgment
• Communicate clearly with store leadership regarding incidents or concerns
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding clientele and store operations
• Complete incident reports and documentation when required

Qualifications
• Valid New York State Security Guard License required
• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, corrections, or similar roles preferred
• Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, concierge-style security, or other guest-facing environments is a plus
• Strong situational awareness and decision-making ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and sound judgment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and remain alert throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Availability for weekend scheduling and on-call assignments

This position operates within a luxury retail environment where presentation and professionalism are important. Officers must maintain a clean, professional appearance consistent with company dress or uniform standards and interact respectfully with clientele and staff at all times.
