Responsibilities:
β€’ Deter criminal activity by adhering to security measures including reviewing video surveillance to identify odd behaviors, patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service
β€’ Maintain full and accurate records associated with the complete function of the security role.
β€’ Implement in conjunction with the hotel management team, security, loss control, key control, fire safety, occupational health and safety
β€’ Conduct investigations into matters relating to cash, fire, accident, disruption, where theft/fraud/loss/injury/damage etc. has or is suspected to have occurred
β€’ Liaise with the Human Resources Department to assist in work related investigations of losses or claims by employees against the hotel
β€’ Regularly liaise with hotel department heads to promote the safe, secure, efficient and harmonious operation of the hotel and its outlets
β€’ Gather information and execute procedures in regard to security/fire/safety equipment
β€’ Emphasis is to be placed on storage and transportation of cash, key control, storage and handling of dangerous chemicals, personnel security, health and safety

Requirements:
β€’ Prior experience in a brand hotel or similar role in a comparable environment
β€’ Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures
β€’ Have excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
β€’ Good understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
β€’ Outstanding surveillance and observation skills
β€’ Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
β€’ Registered as a security officer
β€’ Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
β€’ Great interpersonal and communication skills

Pay rate: $22.00 per hour
