Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Plumber to oversee and execute complex plumbing projects across various construction sites. This role is vital in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings. As a Lead Plumber, you will guide a team of skilled tradespeople, coordinate with project managers, and uphold safety standards while delivering top-quality workmanship. Your expertise in construction plumbing, mechanical systems, and site management will drive project success and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
β€’ Lead and supervise plumbing teams on construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to code standards
β€’ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan plumbing layouts and installations
β€’ Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machines
β€’ Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry and HVAC technicians to ensure seamless project execution
β€’ Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications
β€’ Manage material inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper use of construction tools and equipment
β€’ Provide mentorship to junior team members, offering technical guidance on complex tasks such as remodeling or heavy lifting

Qualifications
β€’ Proven experience in construction plumbing with a strong background in commercial or residential projects
β€’ Skilled in welding, pipe threading, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical knowledge
β€’ Familiarity with HVAC systems and general building maintenance practices
β€’ Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and assembly tools efficiently
β€’ Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards
β€’ Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred
β€’ Strong math skills for measurements and calculations; basic understanding of carpentry and handyman techniques is a plus
β€’ Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical diagrams accurately
β€’ Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
