In September 2022, Stellar Manufacturing was acquired by Leslie's as an affiliate. Stellar Manufacturing is a contract manufacturer of solid particle products and specializes in chemical processing services such as specialty tableting, compaction granulation, and granular filling. We support the manufacturing of a variety of consumer and industrial products including water treatment chemicals, janitorial and sanitation products, agrochemicals, raw materials, and more.

As a Packaging Associate, you will support safe and efficient production by packaging finished goods according to established instructions and quality standards. This role involves inspecting products and packaging for accuracy and quality, operating packaging equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Distribution Center safety precautions include a dedicated Safety Officer, temperature scans, frequent sanitizing, masks and gloves for team members. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our associates and their families, our partners, our communities and our customers.

Pay: $17.00/ Hourly
Responsibilities
• Pulls finished goods off the conveyor belt to fill boxes, cartons and pails following packing instructions on bill of material. Runs job per instructions/work orders and asks questions if instructions are not clear.
• Visually inspects finished goods and removes broken or damaged product.
• Visually inspects each container for print color, package quality, wrapper quality and printing quality. Follows reporting steps if quality issues are visible.
• Performs a count or weighs each carton, container or pallet to ensure the proper amount and product is packaged, places product literature in container, closes and seals container and places container on pallet or in staging area.
• Operates a casing machine to seal containers, shrink wrap machine to wrap pallets and regrind mill.
• Record information such as weight, time, date and completes identification tickets.
• Understands plant labeling requirements and sees that all chemicals are properly labeled and managed.

Qualifications
• Drug screen required
• Chemical manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Hours
• 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 5:15 AM – 3:45 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday | 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM
