Job Overview

The Housekeeping Specialist will be responsible for performing housekeeping functions based on standards and procedures. The specialist will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned.

Roles & Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
β€’ Preforms housekeeping and laundry activities to ensure the highest level of cleanliness.
β€’ Inspect rooms, public areas, & heart of the house for cleanliness.
β€’ Manage and maintain supply and linen inventories.
β€’ Ensure requests are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner.
β€’ Report all maintenance issues in a timely manner.
β€’ Performs all duties listed on the daily schedule.
β€’ Operates motorized cleaning equipment.
β€’ Manages and maintains daily upkeep of assigned area(s).
β€’ Reports incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
β€’ Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stops at risk behavior of others and self.
β€’ Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
β€’ Perform repetitive tasks.
β€’ Maintain clean work area.
β€’ Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
β€’ Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
β€’ Fill in during staff shortage.
β€’ Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
β€’ Use proper personal protective equipment.
β€’ Present a professional appearance and conduct.
β€’ Understand customer service and satisfaction.
β€’ Understand reporting systems, and of the environment.

β€’ Education and/ or Experience
β€’ No specific education requirement, 1-3 years training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
β€’ Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
β€’ CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus
β€’ May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
β€’ Completed all safety and task training certification.
β€’ May be required to be forklift certified.
β€’ Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
β€’ Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
β€’ Strong verbal and written communication skills
β€’ Knowledge of grounds keeping methods and equipment and willing to share with team
β€’ Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
β€’ Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
β€’ Bilingual a plus
