Werner Nugent Plumbing, Inc. is seeking a driven and organized Plumbing Service Manager to take ownership of our Service Department and help shape its future. Key Responsibilities
• Daily Operations
• Respond to non-emergency calls and emails from the previous evening.
• Communicate consistently with Service Plumbers throughout the day to ensure proper manpower, equipment, and materials are in place.
• Assist with troubleshooting complex plumbing issues via phone, video, or onsite support when necessary.
• Monitor technician time on scheduled calls to prevent scheduling conflicts and budget overruns.
• Schedule incoming service calls based on urgency and technician availability.
• Clearly communicate service call costs to customers and assess emergency vs. non-emergency needs.
• Follow up on incomplete service calls and coordinate with estimating for larger project proposals.
• Manage service-related proposals and follow up for approvals.
• Oversee service projects from planning through execution to ensure timely completion.
• Address customer concerns and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Respond to after-hours emergency service calls and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Weekly Responsibilities
• Coordinate with the CFO to ensure payroll time is recorded accurately.
• Review completed service orders with CFO for billing.
• Follow up on Accounts Receivable issues related to service work.
• Inspect service trucks for cleanliness, organization, stock levels, and maintenance scheduling.
• Maintain monthly PM and RPZ testing schedules.
• Ensure technicians submit receipts and maintain properly stocked trucks.

• Lead monthly Service Department meetings.
• Address departmental challenges and morale.
• Communicate updates to company policies and procedures.
• Conduct group or individual training to maintain and elevate technical capabilities.
• Evaluate department performance and implement improvements as needed.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of plumbing service leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Local 130 Plumber or licensed plumber with service experience strongly encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and service operations.
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong customer service and sales aptitude.
• Computer proficiency including Sage 100/SFO, Microsoft Excel, Word, and general office systems.
• Ability to build and lead a team-oriented environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
