Role Overview:

Under the direction of the Security Supervisor, the Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all security policies and day to day operational procedures are followed. Officers will execute on the Corporate Security vision, mission, and goals as delegated by the Director of Security.

What You'll Do:
• May be required to work weekends, shift work and extended hours.
• Controls flow of visitors entering the building, ensuring only authorized people enter.
• Provide executive protection, bodyguard or chauffeur duties.
• Write reports and may conduct investigations in the event of thefts, accident, property damage, harassment, etc.
• Provide a variety of security functions including assignment to any post (indoors or outdoors), perimeter patrols, schedules or coordinates car service activities.
• Follows instruction of Security Supervisors and other New York Life staff, as required.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You'll Bring:
• Prior law enforcement experience of 10 years or more is required.
• Must be licensed to carry an unrestricted concealed weapon within New York City
• CPR/AED trained preferred
• Must be able to react quickly to sensitive situations.
• Superior verbal and written communications skills is required to interact professionally with all levels of management, employees, tenants and visitors.
• Bi-lingual Language Skills - English/Spanish preferred.
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
• Prior security experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes

Sales bonus eligible: No

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
