Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Underground Utility Operator/Plumber to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing underground utility systems, including pipelines, plumbing, and related infrastructure. Your expertise will help ensure the safe and efficient completion of utility projects across diverse construction sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment and advanced tools while contributing to vital infrastructure development.

Responsibilities
β€’ Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and prepare sites for utility installation.
β€’ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and pipeline layouts to accurately execute project plans.
β€’ Locate existing underground utilities using utility locating equipment to prevent damage during excavation.
β€’ Install, connect, and repair pipelines, plumbing systems, and concrete forms with precision and adherence to safety standards.
β€’ Use pipe lasers and other specialized tools to ensure accurate alignment and elevation of pipelines.
β€’ Perform concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, and sealing concrete surfaces around utility installations.
β€’ Conduct welding and other fabrication tasks as needed for pipe connections or structural support.

Qualifications
β€’ Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks in a construction environment.
β€’ Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, construction site safety protocols, and utility locating techniques.
β€’ Skilled in pipe laser operation, concrete forming, welding, and concrete finishing processes.
β€’ Familiarity with plumbing systems, pipeline installation procedures, and oil & gas infrastructure is highly desirable.
β€’ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
β€’ Construction site experience with a focus on underground utility projects is preferred.
