Job Description
Love & Honey Fried Chicken™ is seeking an experienced and highly capable General Manager to lead our corporate location. This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for the performance of the restaurant, including operations, team development, financial management, and brand execution.

The corporate store serves as both a flagship location and the operational standard for the franchise system. This position requires a strong operator who can bring structure, consistency, and a high level of professionalism while ensuring alignment with franchise standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Execution:
• Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations
• Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, food quality, cleanliness, and service
• Maintain a well-organized, efficient, and high-performing operation
• Obsess over the details — from food presentation to cleanliness to the guest experience
• Align corporate store operations with franchise systems and expectations
• Goal: Support the expansion of operating hours, including extended evening and weekend service, with a target implementation date of June/July.

Leadership & Team Development:
• Recruit, hire, train, and retain a strong, reliable team
• Establish a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, and pride in the work
• Lead by example, setting clear expectations for professionalism and execution
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management
• Handle all employee relations and HR matters in a professional and timely manner
• Work closely with and manage the performance of the existing Kitchen Manager and Restaurant Manager, ensuring alignment with brand standards and operational expectations

Training & Team Development (Store Level):
• Implement and maintain structured training programs for all team members
• Ensure all employees are properly trained before working independently
• Reinforce a culture where hospitality and attention to detail are non-negotiable
• Uphold and enforce all Love & Honey Fried Chicken™ operational standards

Franchise Training & Support:
• This location serves as the primary training facility for franchisees and their teams
• Execute the corporate franchise training program during all training periods
• Ensure franchisees are thoroughly trained on systems, procedures, and brand standards
• Maintain a professional, organized training environment that reflects brand expectations
• Act as a model operator, demonstrating best-in-class execution, hospitality, and attention to detail
• Provide clear communication, feedback, and support throughout the training process

Financial Management & Reporting:
• Oversee all financial aspects of the restaurant, including labor, food cost, and profitability
• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics
• Develop and manage schedules to optimize labor efficiency
• Maintain a strong understanding of P&L statements and key financial drivers
• Ensure accurate inventory, ordering, and cost controls

Systems & Technology:
• Maintain full proficiency in Toast POS, including back-end reporting and system management
• Utilize data and reporting tools to drive operational decisions
• Experience with Incentivio is preferred but not required

Administrative Responsibilities:
• Oversee all administrative functions of the restaurant, including payroll, scheduling oversight, and reporting
• Conduct manager performance reviews and oversee compensation and bonus structures
• Ensure all administrative processes are completed accurately and on time

Facilities, Maintenance & Security:
• Manage all maintenance needs and vendor relationships
• Ensure the restaurant is operating safely and efficiently at all times
• Oversee restaurant security and be available to respond to urgent issues as needed

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years of restaurant management experience in a high-volume environment
• Proven leadership ability with a track record of building and developing strong teams
• Strong understanding of restaurant financials, labor management, and cost control
• Proficiency with POS systems (Toast preferred)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• ServSafe Manager Certification required

Role Expectations:

This role requires a highly engaged, hands-on leader who is fully accountable for the success of the restaurant. The General Manager is expected to bring structure, discipline, and consistency to daily operations while maintaining the hospitality and quality that define the Love & Honey Fried Chicken™ brand.

Hospitality, culture, and attention to detail are not secondary priorities — they are core to how we operate. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring these values are consistently upheld by the entire team.

As this location also functions as a training facility, the General Manager plays a critical role in developing franchise partners and ensuring that all training is delivered consistently, professionally, and in accordance with brand standards.

Hours Expectation

For this specific role (high-accountability, corporate flagship + training facility)
• 50+ /week on average

Schedule structure:
• Mix of days, nights, and weekends
• Must be present for:
• Peak service periods
• Training weeks (especially with franchisees)
• Any operational issues or resets

Non-negotiables:
• On-call for emergencies
• Visible leadership during busy shifts
• Flexibility

Salary Range:

$70k - 75K + Bonus

Quarterly Bonus Opportunity

This role is eligible for a quarterly bonus program tied to overall restaurant performance. The bonus is based on a combination of measurable goals and profit-sharing components, including sales performance, cost management, operational execution, guest experience, and team leadership.

Bonus eligibility and payout are determined based on achieving established targets and maintaining strong overall store performance. Details of the program will be shared upon hire.
