Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a polished, hospitality-driven General Manager to lead daily operations of Potente, our upscale dining and lounge experience in the heart of downtown Houston. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance, developing a high-performing team, and maintaining the elevated standards of service, food, beverage, and atmosphere that define the brand.

The ideal candidate is an experienced luxury hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands fine dining execution, and can balance guest-facing leadership with strong business acumen.

Duties
• Lead daily restaurant operations, including managing front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to maintain quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
• Supervise staff training and development programs to enhance team skills in customer service, food production, and safety procedures.
• Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
• Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and sanitation protocols across all restaurant areas.
• Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated team.
• Monitor financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.
• Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes excellent customer service and hospitality at every touchpoint.

Experience
• Proven management experience within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
• Extensive background in food service management with a focus on kitchen management and culinary operations.
• Demonstrated supervising experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting with team management responsibilities.
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, budgeting, and food production processes.
• Experience working in fine dining or hotel food service environments is highly desirable.
• Skilled in staff training & development, interviewing candidates, and implementing effective training programs.
