Job Description
Description:

About Modern Mechanical Services

Modern Mechanical Services is a commercial HVACR and plumbing contractor based in Dallas. We serve commercial real estate, hospitality, private schools, healthcare, multi-site retail, and storage facilities across DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. Our commercial plumbing division launched in February 2026 and is growing fast โ€” this is a ground-floor seat on the plumbing side of a company that already runs a dialed-in commercial operation.

Requirements:

What You'll Do

ยท Run commercial plumbing service calls across the DFW metro

ยท Diagnose and repair on occupied commercial buildings

ยท Preventive maintenance routes โ€” backflow testing, drain jetting, water heater service, fixture work

ยท Service and repair water heaters, fixtures, drains, gas lines, and supply lines

ยท Backfill on project and install work when service volume is light

ยท Document work cleanly in ServiceTrade so customers and the office know exactly what happened

What We're Looking For

ยท Current Texas Journeyman Plumber license (TSBPE) โ€” required

ยท Commercial plumbing service experience

ยท Clean driving record

ยท Own hand tools

ยท Able to work cleanly and professionally in occupied commercial spaces

ยท Hungry, humble, and smart โ€” we'll take coachability over 25 years of doing it the wrong way

Nice to Have

ยท Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) endorsement

ยท Medical gas certification

ยท Experience with ServiceTrade or similar field service management software

Schedule & On-Call

Monday through Friday, standard daytime hours. Rotating on-call coverage.

Emergencies are emergencies โ€” that's the trade. But we've built dispatch and documentation so our technicians don't get paged at 11pm for something a dispatcher should have handled. Planning and prevention are the product.

Compensation & Benefits

ยท Company truck use and fuel card (full-time)

ยท Health, dental, and vision insurance

ยท Paid time off and paid holidays

ยท 401(k) available

ยท Overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours

ยท Paid continuing education, Journeyman and Master exam prep, backflow and medical gas certifications

How to Apply

Apply through Paylocity. We respond to every qualified applicant.
