POSITION SUMMARY: The server is responsible for serving food and beverages for our guests in an efficient and courteous manner. This position reports to the General Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as a company advocate and embody Pizzana’s values: excellent customer service, innovation, community, cleanliness, and a great place to work.
• Participate and excel in your dining room training as you learn our menu, beverage selection, FAQs, and all things Pizzana.
• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes Pizzana culture.
• Deliver exceptional customer service within the standards of management and Pizzana policies.
• Meet and anticipate all guest needs.
• Practice proper cash handling procedures with a smile.
• Demonstrate effortless teamwork skills as you rely on and assist fellow coworkers in providing the Pizzana experience helping with the delivery of food and beverages to the guests.
• Assist with all cleaning duties as stated on opening/closing and weekly checklists.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Report to work as scheduled and fulfill all requirements for duration of shift or until relieved.
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary
• Take guest orders via Toast Handheld
• Input orders into the POS system
• Serve guests their prepared food and drinks while explaining the dishes as they are placed in front of each guest
• Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed
• Prepare bill and accept payment with Toast Handheld
• Clear or reset table at the end of each course
• Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future dining experience
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
• Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience
• Necessary food handler’s certificate
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
• Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 25 hours a week.
• Ability to stand/walk for 4-8 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: Peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.
