Job Description

Amuneal is looking for a Welder to join our team. This role will be on a 4 day, 10 hour work week of 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday. at our Darrah St location.

Responsibilities:
• Perform Welding Operations: Welding thin, light gauge nickel alloystainless steel metal (0.020 - .125in).
• Maintain Welding Equipment: Ensure welding equipment is in good working condition by conducting regular maintenance and repairs. Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor. Setting up a GTAW machine, including hookup to their own shielding gas cylinders
• Quality Control: Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Ability to perform certain quality inspections on their own work through use of measuring tools, specifically calipers.
• Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety procedures during welding operations.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately. Communicate effectively to ensure tasks are completed on time and to specifications.
• Hands-on work: Roll-forming sheet metal.
• Comprehension of drawings: Reading, reasoning, and fabricating from blue prints, shop drawings, and standard work procedures.

Requirements:
• Welding Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in welding operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience with various welding processes with sheet metal or comparable materials.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Strong understanding of metallurgy and welding principles.
• Certifications: Possess relevant welding certifications such as AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent. Additional certifications in specific welding techniques or materials may be preferred.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and attention to detail to produce high-quality welds and assemblies. Familiarity with quality control techniques and inspection procedures is essential.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to welding operations. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others.
• Teamwork and Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and convey information accurately.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various positions and environments. Good physical stamina and dexterity are required for welding tasks.
