Johnson Security Bureau, Inc. is seeking a Security Screener that will use cutting-edge SmartTech x-ray software. About the Role

As a Security Screener, you will play a critical role in identifying potential threats and ensuring the safety of the premises. Your precision and attention to detail will support a secure and efficient screening process.

Responsibilities
β€’ Inspect bags and items using x-ray screening equipment
β€’ Analyze images and determine if additional inspection is required
β€’ Communicate findings and concerns to appropriate personnel and supervisors
β€’ Identify and respond to suspicious items or alarm triggers
β€’ Record incidents and observations with accuracy and professionalism
β€’ Maintain alertness and situational awareness at all times
β€’ Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols

Qualifications
β€’ Valid New York State Security Guard License
β€’ High School Diploma or GED
β€’ Military and/or Law Enforcement experienced required
β€’ Prior professional experience in a security or screening role
β€’ Strong attention to detail, focus, and consistent work ethic
β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
β€’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
β€’ Professional demeanor and appearance
β€’ Authorized to legally work in the United States
β€’ Successful completion of a drug test with negative results
β€’ Comfortable using screening software and equipment
β€’ Must pass an extensive background check (including criminal history, references, employment and education verification, and DMV/credit checks if applicable)
β€’ If prior military, must provide a DD214 discharge document with status upon job offer
β€’ Must meet any licensing requirements mandated by state or local regulations

Physical Requirements
β€’ Work is typically performed in a secure indoor environment
β€’ May involve standing for extended periods, light lifting, bending, and stretching
β€’ Use of computers, scanners, and other screening equipment required
β€’ Must be able to focus for extended periods in a structured, procedural environment

β€’ Prior work in law enforcement, corrections, or emergency services
