Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Logistics/Packing Lead to oversee and manage packing operations in Houston, Texas. This role requires a strong background in logistics, shipping processes, and team leadership to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in daily activities. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth within the organization.Responsibilities:• Supervise and manage daily packing activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy.• Assign tasks based on workload plans, balancing safety, quality, and scheduling priorities.• Interpret and enforce packing specifications and instructions, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.• Identify and implement damage-prevention strategies while managing corrective actions.• Support recruitment processes, provide performance feedback, and oversee onboarding for new team members.• Train and mentor packing technicians on procedures, discipline, and adherence to 5S principles.• Enforce safety regulations and stop operations when unsafe conditions are identified.• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to align packing schedules and shipping plans.• Communicate proactively about readiness, delays, and potential risks to ensure smooth operations.
