Job Title: Welder – 1st Shift

Location: Garden City, NY, US, 11530
Position Summary:

Adecco is seeking an experienced welder to TIG weld aluminum, stainless steel, and inconel heat transfer components and sub-assemblies for aerospace applications. This role requires precision, adherence to aerospace specifications, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
• Weld assemblies according to weld specifications, schedules, method sheets, and blueprints.
• Inspect welds for flaws including missing welds, porosity, incomplete fusion, undercuts, cracks, excess reinforcement, or arc strikes.
• Train new and existing welders on proper welding techniques and process improvements.
• Plan work orders and gather required tools and materials based on job instructions and specifications.
• Repair and fabricate items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques.
• Monitor welding, burning, and fitting processes to prevent overheating, distortion, or warping.
• Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces.
• Maintain, organize, and clean welding equipment and work areas.
• Report faulty equipment or defective materials to supervisors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Proficient in welding assemblies according to specifications and blueprints.
• Ability to inspect weld quality and identify defects.
• Capable of training others on welding processes.

Education and Experience:
• High School diploma required; Trade school preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience welding aluminum and stainless steel.
• Ability to weld in compliance with AWS D17.1 aerospace welding specifications and pass welder certification.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Must pass annual eye examination.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• ITAR export license may be required.

Equipment Used:
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welder (Lincoln, Miller)

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to weld in vertical, flat, or overhead positions.
• Manual dexterity and stability required for precision work.
• Close-range vision for detail work.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to climb, balance, walk, stoop, and carry materials throughout facilities.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $35.00 per hour
