Summary

The Sr. Layout Welder is able to interact with all Production teammates and who can do their own fixturing and set up their own processes completely independently. All welders need to be extremely fast paced, self-motivated, team players who can keep their area clean and organized, can TIG and MIG stainless steel safely, proficiently and quickly.

This role will be working heavily on the electrical enclosures, specifically the doors and panels along with finish grinding the weldments. This mostly requires MIG welding 14ga CRS, stud welding, and doing cosmetic post weld grinding and material handling. They will also help with other welding needs as capacity allows/requires.

THE CORE OF THE POSITION
• TIG welding stainless steel components
• Experienced with cosmetic grinding of Sheetmetal panels
• MIG welding mild steel Sheetmetal
• Able to follow written and verbal instruction
• Ensure quality of work, check own work and work of others in department
• Self-starter, highly motivated working in a fast-paced department
• Regularly handle electrical panel frames and door weldments in excess of 65lbs
• Experience with band saws, circular saws, grinders, and other fabrication equipment
• Material handling of raw goods and finished weldments

QUALIFICATIONS
• 7+ years of Welding experience with Welding Layout's
• Extensive experience with Stainless Steel is a must
• 5+ years of TIG Welding
• 3+ years of MIG welding
• Able to read blue prints and drawings

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to lift at least 65+ lbs
• Stand 8+ hours per day
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
