Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder with expertise in welding equipment to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations on various materials, including sheet metal, ductwork, and piping, ensuring all work aligns with industry standards and project specifications. Your mechanical knowledge, ability to read schematics, and proficiency with a variety of welding techniques will be essential to deliver high-quality results on construction sites and manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities
• Operate diverse welding equipment such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to complete fabrication and construction tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to determine weld locations, specifications, and procedures.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning using plasma cutters, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment.
• Perform welding on various metals including sheet metal, pipe sections, ductwork, and structural components while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
• Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
• Assist with rigging, assembly, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and mechanical tasks as needed for complete project execution.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to welding operations, crane handling, forklift operation, and use of personal protective equipment.
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites or manufacturing floors to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards.

Experience
• Proven construction site experience with hands-on welding in industrial or commercial environments.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with structural steel and steel pipe welding preferred.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for fabrication and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding practices.
• Ability to operate rigging equipment like cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work.
