Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumber to support commercial new construction projects. This role is responsible for installing, assembling, testing, and maintaining plumbing systems in accordance with project plans, local codes, and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint-reading skills, experience working in active construction environments, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew.

Essential Duties:
β€’ Install commercial plumbing systems including water, waste, vent, and storm drainage
β€’ Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping systems (cast iron, copper, steel, PVC, CPVC, PEX)
β€’ Install fixtures, valves, backflow devices, pumps, and related components
β€’ Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings
β€’ Layout piping routes and supports per plans and site conditions
β€’ Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system inspections
β€’ Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and project specifications
β€’ Coordinate work with foremen, superintendents, and other trades
β€’ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
β€’ Mentor apprentices and helpers as needed
β€’ Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards

Minimum Requirements:
β€’ Journeyman Plumber license or certification (state or local)
β€’ 4+ years of commercial plumbing experience
β€’ Proven experience on new construction commercial projects
β€’ Ability to read blueprints and perform accurate layouts
β€’ Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and best practices
β€’ Physical ability to perform job duties (lifting, bending, working at heights or in confined spaces)
β€’ Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Preferred Qualifications
β€’ Experience with large-scale commercial projects (healthcare, office, data centers, schools, industrial facilities)
β€’ Knowledge of medical gas systems or specialty piping
