Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced welder to TIG weld aluminum, stainless, and inconel heat transfer components and sub-assemblies for Aerospace applications.

1st Shift Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:
β€’ Weld any and all assemblies in accordance with weld specifications, weld schedules, method sheets and blueprints as required.
β€’ Inspect all welds for any obvious flaws (IE- Missing welds, Porosity, Incomplete Fusion, Undercut, Starts/Stops/Cracks, Excess reinforcement, Arc strike).
β€’ Training any new or existing welders on proper weld process techniques or improved welding techniques.
β€’ Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
β€’ Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
β€’ Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
β€’ Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
β€’ Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
β€’ Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
β€’ Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:
β€’ Responsible for welding assemblies in accordance with weld specifications, weld schedules, method sheets and blueprints as required.

Education and Experience:
β€’ High School education; Trade school preferred
β€’ Minimum 3 years’ experience welding aluminum and stainless
β€’ Must demonstrate ability to weld in accordance with aerospace welding spec. AWS D17.1 and pass welder certification.
β€’ Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
β€’ Must be able to pass annual eye examination.
β€’ Must be conversant in and read, write, and understand English.
β€’ Due to ITAR Restrictions, an export license may be required.
β€’ Equipment Used: Gas Tungsten Arc Welder (Lincoln, Miller)

Physical Requirements:
β€’ Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
β€’ Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
β€’ Must be able to see details at close range.
β€’ Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
β€’ Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
